Summary

Site of K6 telephone box beside road south of Heatree Cross. Designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V, these boxes are constructed from cast iron as a square kiosk with domed roof. Appears to have been removed prior to 2021.

Full description

(Image dates April 2009 and December 2021) Type K6 telephone box visible beside road in the 2009 image; has been removed by the time of the 2021 image. Designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V. Made by various contractors. Cast iron. Square kiosk with domed roof. Unperforated crowns to top panels and margin glazing to windows and door.
