'Old Shaft' is depicted on the late 19th century historic map within land west of Canonteign Barton. Presumably associated with the mining at Wheal Adams/Reed (MDV9368) or Wheal Exmouth (MDV9376), it is not shown on later historic maps or modern mapping.
