Summary

Rectangular earthwork in Fleetwood Plantation identified and recorded during 1994 walkover survey of Canonteign Woods. Measuring approximately 20m long, it is cut into the slope above the forestry track. In two parts, the upper section is 10m at its widest point; the bottom section is 3m at its widest point and has a lower floor level with corrugated iron debris.

(March 1994) Large rectangular feature in Fleetwood Plantation identified and recorded during 1994 walkover survey of Canonteign Woods. Measuring approximately 20m long, it is cut into the slope above the forestry track. In two parts, the upper section is 10m at its widest point, with stone and earth sides and cut and fallen timber infill. The bottom section is 3m at its widest point and has a lower floor level with corrugated iron debris.
