Summary

Clearance cairns were identified and recorded during 1994 walkover survey of Canonteign Woods. Made up of piles of natural stones, a pair lies parallel to one another in the north-east corner of the northern field parcel; three other are in the parcel to the south, while a single cairn is in field to the south-west.

(March 1994) [U1] Two clearance cairns were identified and recorded during 1994 walkover survey of Canonteign Woods. Made up of piles of natural stones, they lie parallel to one another in the north-east corner of this field parcel.
[V1] Three seaparate piles of stone recorded here.
[II1] Another cairn lies in this field parcel.
