Newman, P. + Salvatore, J., 2003, An emergency coast artillery battery at Battery Gardens, Brixham, Torbay, 221-222, Fig. 3 (Article in Serial). SDV318361.

A concrete platform, which now houses a bench but which is thought to have been a machine gun position during the Second World War. Its main role would have been anti-aircraft but its location suggests that it could have covered the main gateway as well, which was in the same place as the entrance to the gardens today.
