Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1904 - 1906, Second Edition Ordnance Survey 1904-1906 25 inch Map (Cartographic). SDV63521.
Rectangular building is shown adjacent to the southern field boundary but the footprint appears to be different to the building shown on modern mapping.
Exeter Museums Archaeological Field Unit, 1992 - 1993, Blackdown Hills Survey Archive (Archive - Survey). SDV324187.
Site visit on 1st October 1992 observed a concrete blockhouse in this location to the east of the rifle range. The blockhouse is thought to be associated with a rifle range.
