Full description

Pye, A.R., 1989, Berry Head Fort, Brixham. An Archaeological Assessment, 1, 34, Fig. 18 No. 13 (Report - Assessment). SDV362497.

The rubbish dumps downslope of the musketry wall on the south side of the fort were excavated by the Brixham Museum and History Society in the 1970s. The finds are mostly with Brixham Museum but the excavation results have never been published.

Nineteenth century rubbish dumps to the south of the musketry wall and part of a drainage system were excavated by the Brixham Museum and History Society in the 1970s. There were further excavations in the 1990s and early 2000s.
