Summary

A fine costrel or 'pilgrims' bottle' was dredged up from the teign. Shaped like a small barrel, with a spout on the upper side, flanked by two loops. Of coarse brown clay with thick green glaze. Probably 15th century. Now in torquay museum.(ralegh radford and rogers).
