Full description
Taylor, S. R., 2009, Avon SWW Pipeline, Devon: Archaeological Mitigation Archive report, 13, Fig. 5 (Report - Assessment). SDV364052.
A programme of archaeological work was undertaken along the route of a 13.5km long water main from Roborough to Yondertown. A previous geophysical survey had identified a number of areas likely to contain archaeological deposits.
A small pit [1416] with a single burnt fill (1158) was recorded at the lower end of Area B4. The fill is loose and considered to be modern. However, it did contain a single flint and a large amount of charcoal.
