A programme of archaeological work was undertaken along the route of a 13.5km long water main from Roborough to Yondertown. A previous geophysical survey had identified a number of areas likely to contain archaeological deposits.
A linear feature [1193] was identified in Area D13. This had been identified in the geophysical survey which also recorded a larger anomaly running perpendicular to it. This was not seen during the watching brief. To the south was a small burn pit of posthole [1194]. Neither was excavated.
