Free standing cattle shelter with two small yards attached. Stands at the junction of four fields so that all could be readily accessed. It makes a significant visual and historic contribution to the landscape.
The style and character of the building suggest a date in the second half of the 19th century. It is a relatively simple structure with two doors on each side, each with shallow brick arches, opening onto the yards. The yards are enclosed with stone walls, parts of which have eroded away. Some stone feeding troughs survive inside. It was originally lofted but the floor has gone.
