Child, P., 2000, Countryside Stewardship: Waterhouse Farm, Exbourne (Correspondence). SDV366740.

A multipurpose building although mostly lofted animal housing. Built of red cob with a relatively modern brick section at the upper end and a corrugated iron roof but probably originally thatched. The style of the roof trusses indicates an 18th century date but there is an earlier roof truss in the upper end with notched collars characteristic of 17th century buildings in Devon. This particular truss sites over a chamfered beam on the ground floor which is domestic in character. It is likely that both come from the farmhouse and that this section is infact later.
