Full description
Unknown, 1711, Survey, with maps, of the parsonage and prebend lands in the manor and borough of Chulmleigh, 1711 (Record Office Collection). SDV366808.
A Rack Park where fulled cloth was stretched and hung out to dry, is marked on a map of 1711, where Chulmleigh Rectory now stands. A mill is shown to the south by the river but whether or not this was the site of the associated fulling mill is not known.

A fulling mill was noted at Chulmleigh in 1292. There is also reference to the manufacture of woven cloth in Chulmleigh at the end of the 14th century.
