Milestone marked as Barnstaple 9.M.S.

Jenkinson, T., 2012, B3217/UC/B3042 Barnstaple to Crediton via High Bickington, Labbetts Cross and Morchard Bishop (Un-published). SDV366881.

Site visit 26th August 2005. Milestone in the wall on the west side of the road about 20m north of Pound Lane. Inscribed 9/BARUM. It is a small, tombstone type milestone set up c.1879 to commemorate the closure of the turnpike. It is in good condition. The legend is in black, on a white background.
