Milestone marked, Barnstaple 16.M.S
Jenkinson, T., 2012, B3217/UC/B3042 Barnstaple to Crediton via High Bickington, Labbetts Cross and Morchard Bishop (Un-published). SDV366881.
Site visit 19th April 2006. Milestone about half a mile north-west of Chulmleigh. Inscribed 16/Barum. It is a small, tombstone type milestone set up c.1879 to commemorate the closure of the turnpike. Now worn with lichen patches on the face. Has suffered damage from a grass cutter.
