Full description

1749, Map of Alphington (Record Office Collection). SDV366890.

A group of buildings is depicted alongside The Haven, marked as Reynold's or Bustin's House (A), Mr Bussel's House, Barn and Orchard (B) together with a courtlage and skittle alley (D). The map was created to highlight a trackway across the adjoining field towards a building called Marsh Barn which was in dispute.

A small group of buildings is shown on the north and south sides of a trackway. There is no corresponding entry on the Tithe Apportionment for the buildings (Plots 58 and 59). Plot 57 is recorded as a garden in the ownership of John Bussell.
