Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Milestone marked, M.S. TORRINGTON…12. A benchmark is also indicated.

Site visit 12th April 2007. Milestone 30m south of Church Lane, set on kerb bank on west side of road. A large tombstone type marker dating from c.1820s. Inscribed 'To/Torrington/12/Miles'. In good condition. It was recovered from the bank early in 2007, the vegetation cut back and the legend repainted.
