Milestone marked as, Torrington…9 M.S.
Jenkinson, T., 2007-2011, Okehampton to Great Torrington A386/UC (Report - Survey). SDV347988.
Site visit 12th August 2007. Milestone at Woolladon about 1/2 a mile south-east of Ash in bank opposite gate, on west side of road. Dates to the c.1820s. Inscribed 'To/Torrington/9/Miles'. In good condition. Recovered from bank and repainted early in 2007. There is a slight chip at the top right hand edge. The stone is at risk of impact from a grass/hedge cutter.
