Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Milestone marked as, TORRINGTON…5 M. S. A benchmark is also indicated.

Jenkinson, T., 2007-2011, Okehampton to Great Torrington A386/UC (Report - Survey). SDV347988.

Site visit 12th April 2007. Milestone about 100m north-west of Windscott Cross on the south side of the road. Dates to the c.1820s. Inscribed, 'To/Torrington/5/Miles'. The stone is badly damaged with a large chunk missing from the top left and a crack through the base that partly interferes with the inscription. As risk of further damage from HGVs.
