Milestone marked as, TORRINGTON 4. M. S. A benchmark is also indicated. Shown on the west side of the road.

Site visit 12th April 2007. Milestone at East Yarde, about 1m south of the junction of the old road with the A386. Leaning back against the wall on the east side of the road. Dates to the c.1820s. Inscribed, 'To/Torrington/4/Miles'. A large tombstone type marker with the legend picked out in black. In fair condition.
