Full description
Robinson, R., 1978, South Brent, Sketch (Un-published). SDV137445.
Site of a barn on the south-east side of Brent Hill is marked on the Tithe Map of 1843 but has now completely disappeared all but for one end wall in the hedge. This is a length 3-4 metres well built of slate rubble with a thickness of about 0.5 metres. The 19th century map shows that the barn was approached by a lane along the hedge to the south. The Tithe Map Apportionment lists Field Number 2115 as barn. Nothing is shown on later mapping.
