Roberts, W. A., 1980, Moated homestead site (Worksheet). SDV342124.

A moated homestead site in the garden of The Old Vicarage in Stokenham. The site is a flat lawn (apparently no earthworks are visible) about 300 foot (91.44 metres) by 60 foot (18.29 metres), surrounded by the former moat now filled with trees and shrubs. The water flowed from the northwest across a field called Lower Berrys on the Tithe Map Aportionment and discharges through Lower Buddles. Examination of aerial photographs showed vague surface markings.

Hawken, S., 2006, Stokenham House: Archaeological Investigation, 10,12 (Report - non-specific). SDV342123.

Other details: Figure 3.
