Former toll house thought to have been built in the 19th century for the Tiverton Turnpike Trust. A two storey rendered building under a gabled slate roof with ornate eaves and a single chimney stack. Old photos show the main gable to have formerly extended further forward with a canted bay window. The was presumably removed to ease traffic flow past the building. Similar in design to other Tiverton toll houses.
