Name:Flints scatter 400 metres south-east of White Tor

Summary

Flints including scrapers and a barb and tanged arrowhead have been found scattered over an area, 20 to 30 feet either side of the track which goes from the cache of flints found at SX 551789, (SX 57 NE 30), to the cairns at SX 544784 (SX 57 NW 10). Most of the flints were dark grey mottled, common to Dartmoor, but about one quarter were pale brown flints.

Flints including scrapers and a barb and tanged arrowhead found scattered over an area, 20 to 30 feet either side of the track which goes from the cache of flints found at SX 551789, (SX 57 NE 30), to the cairns at SX 544784 (SX 57 NW 10), (centred at SX 547785). Most of the flints were dark grey mottled, common to Dartmoor, but about one quarter were pale brown flints.
The flint are in the possession of Mr. Lichfield-Smith, 2 Magpie Caravan Site, Horrabridge, Yelverton.
