Workers in the Redlake and Leftlake china clay industry, 1910 to 1932, built rabbit warrens to augment their food supply. The remains of these can be seen in several places along the course of the old mineral railway. Possibly the unamed mounds shown on Ordnance Survey 25 inch 1953 at SX 6545928, SX 65335928, SX 65375944 and SX 65655984.
