Re-afforestation ploughing on burnt common, 1964-5, revealed an apparently unrecorded beaker flint ring. Excavated by s. Pollard in 1966. Ring 36ft diameter, originally 5 feet wide and 3-4 feet high, sealing a layer of oak charcoal. In the centre a sunken stone-lined pit (disturbed recently) containing a beaker burial.
