The agger of the Roman road from Axminster to Exeter that was identified on the ground in 1981 is probably the same as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is sited alongside the modern road on its south-west side. A ditch on southern side of the bank may be indicated by a dark cropmark visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947.
