Full description
Addyman, P. V., 1963-1964, Excavations at Lydford, Devon, 1963-64. An Interim Report on excavation work in the Saxon town, Norman fort and late Norman Castle (Un-published). SDV230800.

Excavation in a field to the west of St Petrocks church. Two parallel ditches running at right-angles to present street. Within area defined by these, a sunken-floored hut (34 by 14 feet), presumed to be late Saxon. This was superseded by trenches on a different axis which had fallen into disuse by the 12th century.
