Late medieval building. Location unspecified, described as being in the lower part of the retreat estate. A floor of thick concrete was exposed by the uprooting of a tree. Interpreted as the floor of "some small building" probably no older than the 15th century. On it was found a gold betrothal ring, known as a "gemmel" ring, of the elizabethan period or slightly later (montague).
