Full description

Lamb, S., 1957, Some notes on 18th century furnishings in the parish churches of Devon, 218 (Article in Serial). SDV65364.

Payhembury. Pulpit with plain panels; has kept its sounding board, with a marquetry star, surmounted by a carved torch. Retains a large sermon cushion of red velvet and gold fringe. Made by local craftsmen. Other details: Plate 24.
