Flattish area in south facing slope to cliffs, wide spread. Other implements include leaf shaped, barbed and tanged, and tanged arrowheads, which are later in date.

Mesolithic finds from Bolberry Down, including a tranchet axe, six scrapers and about three hundred unretouched blades and flakes, in Rougemont House Museum.

All are surface finds, at least some of which are Mesolithic. The stone is flint or chert from local beaches. The finds discussed include cores, gravers, flakes, burins, scrapers, microliths and 2 pebble tools. Lithic material suggests a knapping site. Mesolithic industry.
