Full description

Haynes, R. G., 1970, Vermin Traps and Rabbit Warrens on Dartmoor, 161 (Article in Serial). SDV166302.

Ditsworthy Warren; Haynes' vermin trap number 12. This trap lies a few yards east of enclosure known as Ware's Garden and was excavated in 1963. Built against an enormous boulder which forms part of an ancient wall, makes use of natural stones. The base stone shows shallow grooves corresponding to the position of the two end slate shutters. The large boulder against which the trap is built has two holes vertically above the centre of the trap.
