Searley, A. W., 1936, Untitled Source (Pamphlet). SDV339084.

A sixth bell was added in 1887.

Gallant, L., 1981, Untitled Source (Worksheet). SDV339085.

A newspaper article, undated, probably second half 19th century, says that five bells were cast in 1815. No 1 bell inscribed I:P 1815. No 2 bell: Peace and Goodneighbourhood I:P 1815. No 3 bell: I:P 1815. No 4 bell: William Neck and John Perkins C W I:P 1815. No 5 bell (cracked): Edward Adicott Kitson Vicar Aaaron Neck Curate 1815 I:P. No 5 bell was being dismantled. I:P stands for the caster, Pennington of Leyant, Stokeclimsland in Cornwall. There is a tradition in the village that the bells were cast in a small field to the southeast of the church. This field was called Church Orchard on the 19th century Tithe Map Appotionment and still belonged to the church in the late 20th century when it was found to be rough and hummocky.
