Summary
One of six cairns excavated between 1976-1979. Cairn given number 71. A badly robbed cairn of diameter 3.3-3.5m, consisting of a pile of granite stones against a boulder bound by an arc of kerbstones. A charcoal pit in the centre of the monument contained some potsherds. A charcoal pit close to the boulder contained datable material which gave a date of 1480 +- 80 bc (radiocarbon years).(wainwright et al).
