Summary

Kerswell down. Situated in a field just s of a limestone hill (kerswell down). The field is one of a series forming a shallow depression of permian breccia and conglomerate between two limestone hills. Under arable 1978 and 1979 and is again for 1980. Cropmarks are situated just e and se of a tree-covered mound (see separate sheet). They consist of rectilinear markings as shown on worksheet. Vis=-/-/1978 + -/-/1979 + 1/2/1980 (gallant). Nothing identifiable on ground. Only evidence is from air photo taken 1972. A few flints have been picked up on the surface - 3 possible scrapers, 1 flake c.18 chips and lumps.(worksheet).

Kerswell down. Situated in a field just s of a limestone hill (kerswell down). The field is one of a series forming a shallow depression of permian breccia and conglomerate between two limestone hills. Under arable 1978 and 1979 and is again for 1980.
