On gently sloping hillside, aligned downwards not along contour. Tithe map shows same layout and names of some fields suggest former strip arrangement : field 7 ridge field 8 ridge field field 9 higher furze park field 10 furze park field 11 long furrowland field 12 long furrowland sketch on worksheet.
