Summary

Limekiln at churchway, north whilborough. Vis=-/-/1970 (gallant). A mainly limestone structure in form of a segment of a circle, built into hillside. Detailed description on worksheet. Vis=-/4/1977 (gallant). Some time before april 1977, kiln and quarry has disappeared. Whole area filled, smoothed over and soil covered. Its appearance today, grass covered and used for pasture, gives no clue to its history as lime kiln and quarry.
