Salvatore, J. P., 1997, Bowl Barrow on Bicton Common (Un-published). SDV348335.

Site visit 2nd December 1997. The site is on rough ungrazed heather and gorse common, not boggy ground, in an area which has recorded military rifle butts and other military training works. The remains of the barrow could not be located in the present ground conditions and consequently could not be assessed. Not recommended for scheduling.

A slight mound, roughly circular, 0.5 metre high was identified in 1982 in a boggy area of the common. The feature may represent a prehistoric barrow, however, there are also WWII earthworks in the area. Later searches have failed to identify the feature, possibly partly due to the ground conditions. The area could not be searched during the field survey due to boggy ground conditions (supporting tussocky grass).
