Medieval bell noted. Diameter and inscription given.(chapple).

Parish church of st. Matthew. Medieval tower (possibly 1319 when bishop stapledon dedicated a rebuilt church here); 14th century south doorway; north wall and chancel, and probably much of the remainder rebuilt 1861, architect not known.
