Full description
KIRWAN, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV105380.
A gigantic barrow at combe raleigh, three miles north of honiton. No precise location given. An attempt was made to dig a trench through it, but this was abandoned without result (kirwan).
NMR CITING OS, Untitled Source (Report - Survey). SDV132104.
Vis=9/6/1982 (os) nothing on st. Cyres hill that could be a barrow (nor any natural feature that could be mistaken for one). It seems kirwan attempted to excavate some natural hillock elsewhere in the parish (nmr citing os).
