Full description
Clarke, K. M., 1920, The Baptismal Fonts of Devon, Part 7, 333-334 (Article in Serial). SDV320749.
Scalloped bowl font. Freestone, with square inside and out on east and north sides is a series of interlaced semi-circular arches edged by an angular moulding and nail head ornament. Cones of underside of bowl shaft cylinder, carved with diagonal lines; base circular with interlaced half circles. Square plinth, masks on corner.

The font, a fine specimen of late Norman work, possibly about 1170. The bowl and base square are ornamented with intersecting arcade work. The stem has cable moulding separated by zig zag channelling. This is said to represent the Lake of Gennesareth
