NMR, SX99SE32 (National Monuments Record Database). SDV321655.
This hilltop pasture field was formerly in the area of a warren (citing OS 1982).

Field name recorded as Gallows Vine in 1788. A Gallows stood near here in 1436. Possibly Vine from ffin, a boundary.
