Full description
DARK, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV155879.
Excavation of a 1m wide trench through a d-shaped earthwork on the landward side of the island was undertaken by k dark in 2003. The evidence suggested a d-shaped hut with compacted soil walls and a slate roof of c5 or c6. Two sherds of medieval pottery were recovered. The overlying sand contained slate artefacts and a piece of iron slag (dark).
