Rifton. Reichel suggests that this may be the site of the domesday manor of "restone", which was held by tetbald fitz-berner. He also lists the holders in the 13th and 14th centuries, as suggested by the tax roll for 1302 and testa de nevil, (1243).(there is now higher and lower rifton) (reichel).
