Wilkin, W. H., Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV31915.

Waspley. This is probably the site of the domesday manor of "wasberlege" (which reichel refers to as warsbrightly) held by alric. The holders in the 14th and 13th centuries, as suggested by the tax roll for 1302 and testa de nevil (1243), are also given.(reichel). Held by john broughton in the time of edward vi. History of the family from 16th-18th centuries (wilkin).
