Teignharvey farmstead shown on 19th century map as a group of buildings on both sides of the track. Several wells are marked.

A medieval farmstead and the Domesday manor of Taigna. In 1086 it belonged to Baldwin.

Teignharvey is recorded as Taigna in the Domesday Book of 1086. It is named Teyng in Tynhide in 1285, as Tenghervey in 1288 and Teynghervy in 1351.
