Trebick is documented in 1408 as trybuke and then as trebek in 1482 before becoming trybuk in 1544 in the feet of fines of 1544. The forms are too late and too few for any certain etymology to be suggested. If the name is celtic it may contain the british words corresponding to the welsh tref meaning homestead and bychan meaning little (gover et al).
