Combe lancey, alias Combe Lancells, was recorded as a domesday estate. Undoubtedly forming part of the Bishop's Critetone, were held in Honour of Braneys.
Fisher, A., 1902, Sir Simon Leach of Cadeleigh, Kt., 34 (Article in Serial). SDV44402.
Coombe, in Sandford parish, used to belong to Sir Simon Leach KT, of Cadeleigh Court, an eminent Elizabethan lawyer.
