Full description
ALEXANDER, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV219470.
East Pulworthy. This farm may represent a survival of the medieval manor of "boleworth" - as it is called in the testa de nevil, 1243. In the 12th century, it was owned by tavistock abbey. At the time of domesday, it was not reconised as a separate manor, but may have been listed as the half virgate held by ralf in hatherleigh which was also owned by the abbot (reichel,1914). William de boleworthy appears in a 13th century list of hundred jurors (alexander).
