Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV148.

The settlement at west ashford is shown on os 25" (1880s) map as a scattered group of small dwellings centred at ss52443538 with west ashford barton to the w and a further farmstead to the s at ss52473528 (os).

West ashford was efforda in domesday. It was held by robert de ponte cardonis of baldwin the sheriff. Before the conquest it was held by brismar. Later it was acquired by the beaupel family. Early descents given (reichel, 1928-1938).
